Adri Geyer anxiety

Getting rid of anxiety is a crucial component when looking after your overall mental and physical health. And best of all, there are easy ways to tackle stress, from the comfort of your own home, with nothing more than your fingertips.

Anxiety can often bring on weight gain, stress, depression, negativity, lack of good-quality sleep, and pain. So, if you are feeling anxious or distressed? Well then, you may want to consider Tapping (aka Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)). Tapping is an different form of treatment for both emotion, mental and physical pain. And research has shown that Tapping can calm the Amygdala in the brain, which in turn regulates the Nervous System, and can help ease stress and anxiety.

Tapping is a simple, natural, and safe method of acupressure (minus the needles) that helps you eliminate or reduce stress and anxiety, relieve pain, and increases positivity and productivity. Not only that, but it can also help you lose weight, prevent colds and boost your immune system.

It’s easy to learn, and you’ll feel better right away. The combination of the Tapping and the repetition of the positive statements helps alleviate stress from overwhelming behaviours and even painful emotions. After many years of clinical application of Tapping, studies continue to show that it definitely works for almost everyone.

Tapping is quickly becoming one of the planet’s most popular natural ways to reduce stress. As celebrities and top athletes use, tapping releases emotional trauma, changes the body’s energy flow to facilitate healing, and boosts your immune system.

Working in conjunction with your unconscious mind, the tapping process helps you achieve a state of calm more quickly and efficiently than any other technique out there.

So, how does it work?

Tapping touches on the 12 major meridians on each side of your body, which link to an internal organ. But before you start the sequence, you need to determine what stress or anxiety you want to free yourself of and create a setup phrase. For example, “Even though I am overwhelmed, after losing my job, I understand this doesn’t mean I am unworthy or not capable. It means something better is coming my way.”

Repeat YOUR sentence two or three times to maintain focus on your problem area while Tapping.

The sequence begins by starting to Tap the Karate Chop point, and while you are Tapping, recite your setup phrase no less than three times. Follow the following seven points as you move down the body in ascending order:

  • Eyebrow
  • Side-Eye
  • Under Eye
  • Under Nose
  • Chin
  • Collarbone
  • Under Arm

Once the sequence mentioned above is complete, finish off at the top of the head point.

Which move is linked to which organ:

  • Karate Chop (KC): Small intestine
  • Top of Head (TH): Governing vessel
  • Eyebrow (EB): Bladder
  • Side Eye (SE): Gallbladder
  • Under Eye (UE): Stomach
  • Under Nose (UN): Governing vessel
  • Chin (Ch): central vessel
  • Collarbone (CB): Kidney
  • Under Arm (UA): Spleen

Recently, I ran a 21-day series on Tapping, and the results were phenomenal. Take a look…

Stepping aside from stress and trauma

“I have recently completed a course with Adri on “Tapping Solutions.” These sessions have taught me how to step aside from stress and trauma. I have learned how to become calmer and more focused. I can cope better, and my days are indeed more powerful and peaceful. Adri is a wonderful experienced coach on different aspects.”

An impact on my work

“Tapping helped quite a bit, especially to have a more productive day.”

– Elma van Jaarsveld

A special lady with a special gift

“I recently took part in a series of online group tapping sessions with Adri during the third covid wave. It was my first experience of EFT, and I was very impressed. Adri has a very gentle, unassuming approach. She guided the sessions in a genuinely caring way. She really wanted to help everyone. She was sincere in her concern for our well-being. I definitely benefited from and really enjoyed these classes. I can highly recommend Adri. She is a special lady with a special gift, and she wants to share it.”

– Anita van der Walt

I recommend this to anyone struggling with repetitive patterns

“EFT with Adri was a powerful, transformational experience which helped me to understand the emotions driving my behaviour and to heal current and past trauma. Adri herself is a calm, supportive person guiding you through this process. I recommend this to anyone struggling with repetitive patterns of emotion or behaviour.”

– Charlotte Nienaber

A shift into ease and healing

“I attended Adri’s 21 day tapping with some curiosity and a lot of frustration in being unable to move past feelings of ‘not being good enough’ and sadness. Adri’s acceptance, kindness, and ability to bring about change were so healing. I’ve been blown away by what EFT can do, the ease it can bring, and Adri has been my way through all of that.”

– Shona Malan

Truly a therapist and spiritual teacher for these challenging times

“I have attended the EFT classes that Adri recently attended. She is a natural teacher and an extremely accomplished group leader. She has been generously volunteering her time and skills to a 21-day class that enabled participants to tap on Covid-related stress. Adri copes as easily with the human dimension, with numbers sometimes in excess of 20 people, as with the technical issues that arise with Zoom.”

The next time you’re concerned about something, why not give Tapping a shot?
